כ-130 חניכים החלו היום את קורס הסמלים, הקורס הראשון בשרשרת ההכשרה הפיקודית במערך הכבאות. בסיום הקורס יוכשרו החניכים כסגני מפקדי צוותים.

הקורס ייארך כחמישה שבועות מלאים, והוא עתיד להסתיים ביומו האחרון של חודש מרץ.

מי שיפקד על הקורס הוא רב רשף רועי אוחיון כאשר להב אלי מכטייב ישמש כסגנו.

במהלך הקורס מתוכננת פגישה בין החניכים לבין יו״ר ארגון העובדים וחברי מזכירות הארגון.
